fitfh week on raw

Saya is now on her fifth week on raw and doing great she can get beef, pork and liver with no problems at all.

This week I'm increasing her meat meals she is no longer getting a bone in chicken every day she's getting beef meals and she gets her bone in chicken two days in the week.

So far she has handled this well I plan to increase the meat meals next week.

I've ran out of pork, but luckily the store is having a sale on pork so I plan to pick up some pork, pork hocks, and chicken gizzards, and hearts. I also plan to buy some caned tripe and salmon oil for Saya and a kitchen scale so I can get things weighed before packaging the meat up.

April 29th will be Saya's birthday so I plan to buy her some lamb ribs for her bone in meals on that week she really loves lamb. =)

Day twelve on raw.

Today is Saya's twelfth day on raw she's been doing great of coarse on it.

Yesterday she had chicken drumsticks and she loved them. Today for her breakfast she ate chicken breast which she loved she also got some pork and for dinner she'll eat the rest of the breast there was still some meat left for her also she'll get some pork for dinner too she seems to do fine so far with the addition of pork no upset tummy or runny stool so I think I'll start adding it as her meal for her boneless meats.

Today I hope to get back to the store to pick up some more chicken, pork, and to pick up some beef to start Saya on too.

Day five of raw.

As of today Saya will have been on raw for five days. She has just been eaten chicken thighs for breakfast and dinner I did give her raw eggs with her meal too..

So far besides that one runny poop her stool has been pretty nice and well formed not runny and she doesn't have any problems pooping either..

Funny I pay a lot of attention to her poop, but I guess that's the only way to tell if she's settling it the diet well.. lol

Here morning poop had some bones in it, but on her second walk she pooped again and it didn't have it so I think she's getting better at digesting the bones..

This week she got a lot of bone in items, but I think that's good for her first week or so at least.

I plan to buy some more chicken thighs and there is some good deals on chicken breasts, boneless chicken thighs, and pork so I plan to buy those pork will be her new protein source once she's settled in.

I think instead of moving to the new protein first I think I'll slowly introduce her organ meats to her once she's settled on raw.

So far I'm happy with the results and the great thing is she doesn't have to drink as much water since raw has a lot of liquid in it.

First post!

Well today will be my first post I kept meaning to blog about my experiences with Saya my first shiba inu, but I never got around to it and well Saya is 10months now and almost 11months.

She is my first shiba inu I've been wanting one for 14 or so years she is my first shiba inu I've ever met up close my second was her brother of coarse which he was so cute I hope he's doing well also my third shiba inu is a red shiba named Rukia I met her at the park during a dog charity walk.

As a puppy Saya is an angel she never bitten me hard she'll playfully bite, but not too hard. She also gives me shiba hugs as I call it I need to get a picture of her doing it.. lol

Well lets fast forward to today for now Saya is now being fed prey modal raw which right now she is still transitioning to she's eating chicken thighs and raw eggs I guess I was being too much of a newb in this new diet and gave Saya some Denver lamb ribs for breakfast and dinner which she loves lamb ribs.

Monday is when I started her first day on raw in the morning she got a chicken thigh and dinner was leftover chicken thigh from breakfast and another chicken thigh she ate the whole bone in one of the chicken thighs and just ate the meat on the other. She is pretty amazing at crunching up her bone.

Tuesday she got chicken thigh and some Denver lamb rib, dinner was chicken thigh and lamb ribs.

Wednesday for breakfast she got a mixture of canned salmon with one and a half sardine in it all mix up with her seameal powder mixed in and she ate a little bit of her lamb rib and for dinner she got the rest of the fish mixture and the rest of her lamb ribs and she ate a chicken thigh.

So far she's doing well on this diet and she is still in transition so now that the lamb ribs are gone she is on all chicken till she's settled.

The grocery store has some good deals on chicken and pork so I hope to stock up on some chicken and some pork for when I introduce a new protein I'm probably going to introduce organs first I plan to make a order from haretoday I was going to order tripe, but I think I'll wait till the next time I order and once I see how she likes the things I've ordered for her.

I'll try to blog more often and add some nice pictures of Saya.
