I love movies with dogs, books, and so on so when I saw this I really enjoyed it.
I love short animated films and this is one of my favorites now.
Bella is getting low on her current kibble so I've been transitioning her to the Totw so far so good she's doing good on the small amount she getting. Luckily she isn't a picky dog and she seems to enjoy her new kibble.
She and Saya have been enjoying the cold. Well Saya enjoys it more Bella needs jacket in order to enjoy it.

made caned food mix
Four weeks or so ago I made a caned food mix. Got the wet dog food and had caned pumpkin and mackerel so I mixed the three caned items and few other things to extend it.
The mix made four weeks worth of kibble topper for Bella Saya got it as a yummy snack.
I cooked some parsley and ground it once it was done.
Then I got three ground deer patties, chicken hearts, two pieces beef heart, and two beef kidneys
Mixed the caned stuff and parsley. yummy.
Cooked four eggs then once cooked I ground the eggs up and tossed the shells into the compost bucket.
Finished product also added a bit of blueberries in it too. Saya and Bella love blueberries.
Saya and Bella loved the stuff.

Taste of the wild boar kibble
Rubbing on the couch feels so good!
Ingredients:Beef, chickpeas, peas, lamb meal, egg product, canola oil, wild boar, pea protein, fish meal, brewers yeast, tomato pomace, flaxseed, natural flavor, salt, choline chloride, dried chicory root, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, yucca schidigera extract, dried Enterococcus faecium fermentation product, dried Lactobacillus acidophilus fermentation product, dried Lactobacillus casei fermentation product, dried Lactobacillus plantarum fermentation product, dried Trichoderma longibrachiatum fermentation extract, vitamin E supplement, iron proteinate, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium iodide, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, ascorbic acid, vitamin A supplement, biotin, niacin, calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin D supplement, folic acid
Protein: 29% Minimum, Fat: 15% Minimum
Calcium: 1.9%, as-fed; Phosphorus: 1.1%, as-fed
Calories: 3,600 kcal/kg (360 kcal/cup) Calculated Metabolizable Energy
Ingredients looks OK sadly Boar is seventh on the ingredients. chickpeas is second on list, peas third and four meat type ingredients five if you include egg products.
I thought I'd try it since it's something different just got 14lb bag of it.
Bella still has her wellness core ocean so once that is close to finishing I'll start transitioning onto the new kibble.
Due to money mom needs cut back till we get some stuff paid off due to various events not saying what.. This is my dog blog not life event blog.
I think the kibble is OK doesn't list what kind of fish they use in fish meal, but all of them seem to be like that.
I'll have to give them a email or call and ask what kind of fish do they use.
Bella gets other things with her meals most times. Either a egg, caned dog food, caned fish, caned pumpkin or mix of all four items as kibble topper.
I give her honest kitchen as a kibble topper sometimes and she gets raw meal once or four times a week as dinner instead of kibble.
Bella loves chicken quarters, cornish hens, and lamb ribs. She also gets boneless stuff, liver, gizzards and heart with meal usually one or tiny bit of each with the bone in item. Yummy.
I'd love to more raw for her, but for now one to four times a week is enough.
Once I get low enough with food in the freeze I plan to organize it a bit so I can have a spot for just Bella's food and Saya's food so I can keep it organized. Chest freezers are nice, but takes some work getting things in order. upright probably be my type of freezer, but I share with parent's right now.
Weather is going to be in the 30s and 40s so I took the other groundhog out and I plan to get it prepped when it's thawed. That way it's done with. I prefer to handle it in 30s or 40 as not too cold, but cold enough to keep the wasps and flies at bay..
I'll probably switch the the Totw duck or deer/bison or lamb kibble once done with the boar, but I thought it'd be interesting to try. Bella and Saya like the taste gave them a piece as a treat.

more on The honest kitchen
Saya still eats prey model raw, but I do give The honest kitchen dog food:love formula.
She gets is mainly as a snack, or small meal or part of her days meal. I sometimes add things in like a egg mixed with it or caned fish, caned pumpkin or mix of all three or two..
yummy dog soup.. hehe Saya enjoys honest kitchen she has had the turkey one as a sample and liked it.
I got the Love formula as I liked it's ingredients the turkey one was good to.
Saya has no food allergies that I know of so I guess either one would be good to feed.
Saya has had no stomach issue with it and seems digest it fine.
I plan to try the zeal next once the love formula is done with.
Saya loves fish so I'm sure she'll enjoy it.
I don't give it because I think her raw diet is lacking, but mainly to have on hand for emergency, or if say I go camping for few days or whatever the food would be fed instead of raw. Just add water and let sit for a bit then feed..
I plan to get a 2lb bag of ziwipeak for training treats and ziwipeak can be fed as a meal too..
So combo of honest kitchen and ziwipeak would be nice for camping and stuff like that..
Also I feel having this dehydrated food is good to have in case something happens and power goes out for long time you know a blizzard, tornado or whatever.
I would feed kibble if needed, but I like the honest kitchen food and ziwipeak over kibble.
Saya has had ziwipeak for a bit and enjoyed it.
Both foods are pretty pricey though, but since Saya is small it lasts her decent amount plus she is only getting it as a snack or small meal so it lasts even longer.
I do give it to Bella as a yummy kibble topper and she loves it.
I sometimes even give her half kibble and a bit more of the honest kitchen.
I prefer raw more as it gives Saya a nice workout while kibble, honest kitchen or ziwipeak she eats those more faster.
Unless she is eating liver she eats that really fast.
At least with ziwipeak I can just put a days meal in a zip lock and use as training treats instead of feeding it in a bowl so she works for her breakfast and dinner..
I plan to check some recipe from the honest kitchen cook book and make something soon. Salmon recipe in it looks yummy.

Fun Hike.
On the 24th we had a fun hike. We also had another nice hike day or two ago it was 2hours long and we explored a lot.
The Jan 24th walk I took my camera so got few fun pictures. :)
It was cold so Bella had two coats on. I had a long sleeve shirt, and two sweaters to keep warm.
I think it was 12F maybe 7F hard to tell some wind made it bit colder. Woods was not too bad.
Bella does great on leash though she has her moments still pulls sometimes. She has improved so much since she was a tiny crazy boxer.
She is much better behaved then my neighbor's lab/mastiff mix who wanders, chase cars and doesn't listen to her owners..
Bella knows to not chase neighbor's cars as they pass by. Good Bella. :)
Saya checking out a hole here not sure if it is occupied or not so I make sure she doesn't linger for long.
Saya far off coming when called she is taking her time smelling things as she walks towards me.
This picture hard to see as it is small, but the yellow circle shows where Saya is.. Her orange bandana helps me spot her plus her bells help too.
We then walked around the trail area in the second field then headed for the woods again, but went down the hill.
Saya coarse rushed down to check things out.
I had called Saya once she came then headed back down to check stuff again.
Saya was in heaven exploring things the place. climbing all over the place.
This little ravine here two tires in the picture.. :(
If I climbed the rocks there is 9 or so more tires, metal barrel, and some other crap.
No pictures of that as I had no time to climb it to get pictures as I needed get home as parent's needed me.

We had fun walking around we walked the trails six times to warm up then headed into the woods to explore some.
Shiba shake time!

Shiba butt
Saya wandered off a bit. Checking the place out.
Den of the dragon!
When Saya was going ahead of me while me and Bella walked down she was checking this out.. Once I got down I told her to leave it and we wandered off.
Saya checked things out she has sniff anything she thinks needing it. I was down here where the water is well now it's a small frozen water.
The water is mostly dried up few frozen patches
I was heading off and called her she checked the tree a bit then did shiba shake and finally came.
dog prints? or cat? I forgot how big it was..

Saya putting her mountain skills to use.. she went up and down with ease.
Another picture of the tires.. A bit above that there is a metal wagon like a rusted radio flyer or whatever.
Saya is off! Wee! Billy goat Saya..
I let Saya have fun a bit and then called her since I had head home bit earlier then plan.
Saya such a speed demon. We headed for home Saya did walk back to the ravine, but I headed to her called her again and she was like oh fine and followed us home. I felt same way, but sometimes gotta call fun walks short..
What is sad my dad didn't really need the money when he got back he gave it back to me. So we could have hiked bit longer.
Ah well. Que sera sera~! :)

I got good pictures of my neighbor's trash.. :( A yellow kids slide.
This here is a jacuzzi I'm guessing? Lovely.
I can't believe people would just dump this junk in the woods.
The neighbor's are the ones who have the lab/mastiff mix who is rude and annoying.

Over flow from my pond drains into here. Been cold so it froze.
Little bird nest on the way out of the woods cool.
Saya on the way.
Bella had fun walk she got a bit silly and covered herself up.
Bella you know better that is the nice blanket you don't play with it! Silly boxer.
I told her leave it and she proceeded to rub against the couch.

Silly face.
Bella was being silly and rubbing on a couch and even moved it around while mom was sitting on it! haha
Saya she was tired so she hanged around chilling. She was tired from all the running and climbing. I'm proud of my little country shiba. :)

Saya was off leash the whole time thought this time was more shorter walk. The hike we did day or two ago was two hours and she was off leash then.
We did more stuff too hiking in trails then the woods and then down the hill then we went to the first field and head for the ravine area by where the power lines are. That is where I saw the barrel and 9 or so tires. Crazy what people dump..
I don't know if it was the person who lived here before us or who knows maybe people around the area thought it was OK to dump their crap down the ravine. I mean no one is going to walk down there!
I headed down there and Saya was a bit behind she was lagging a bit from climbing all over in the woods and stuff.
When she caught up she had fun sniffing things. There was evidence of deer, tracks and poop..
I found the arrow my dad got into the ravine on accident so I got that and climbed up from a different way. I saw some den looking things not sure what kind maybe rabbit? coyote? skunk? I don't know. Saya sniffed it a bit and I told her lets go and she kept going and we then walked the first field trails and headed home.
The first hike was nice would been more nicer to get pictures, but I didn't bring it then. I didn't think I'd go to the ravine.
I need get a nice tough small camera. The nice camera takes great pictures, but being nice I worry if I fall or trip I'd break it.

Bella had a fun time messing the room up with toy fluff.. haha
Saya and Bella are such good dogs we are lucky to have the two. Both have taught me a lot.
Saya is my best bud.
